Terms & Conditions:

  1. This is a short story writing competition. To enter, please send your original, unpublished, short story, in Marathi, on the following theme of mother.
  2. Competition is open to anyone aged between age 19-21. Please submit your identification
  3. To enter applicant must be resident of western Vidarbha, MS India. That is applicant must be resident of following districts: Akola, Amaravati, Buldhana, Yavatmal, Washim. Please provide your name, address and phone number for contact.
  4. Theme: My mother/ Mother/Me and my mother/My mother as I remember her.
  5. Maximum word: 3000 words.
  6. Story should be written in clean handwriting on one side of A4 page or type written on one side of A4 page.

  8. Please include your full name and age.
  9. This competition is not open to families, or anyone professionally connected to the the Shree Sundara Laxmi Rajmata foundation.
  10. The competition is open to published and unpublished authors, but the entry must not have been published before.
  11. The submission must be received by 19th April 2019. Submission after this date will not be eligible for entry into the competition.
  12. By submitting your entry, you agree and warrant that (i) your entry has not been published before; (ii) your entry is entirely your own original work; and (iii) nothing in your entry is defamatory, private or an infringement of copyright or other intellectual property right or in any way a breach of another’s rights. Any entry in breach of this clause will be disqualified from participating in and winning the competition.
  13. Six winners will be selected from the entries received in accordance with these terms and conditions based on the following criteria: originality, relevance to theme, emotional depth and clarity, writing skill and strength of character depiction and skill of telling a story.
  14. The Shree Sundara Laxmi Rajmata Marathi academy team will select the winners, whose decision will be final.
  15. The winner’s name will be announced by 6 Sept 2019 on the social media accounts and on the website www.shreesundaralaxmirajmata.org.
  16. Six winners will be notified by the phone call from Academy. The nature of Award is as follows: First Prize: two winners. Each will receive 11111 Rs; Second Prize: two winners. Each will receive 5100 Rs;Third Prize: two winners. Each will receive 2100 Rs; All 6 winners will receive Award certificate and publication on the foundations website.
  17. The Award ceremony will take place in Mukindpur, Tq. Arni Dist Yavatma
  18. The award ceremony will take place on 13 Oct 2019
  19. Winners must in person accept the prize on the day of prize ceromony. Prize winner accepts the prize at the prize ceremony. If Prize winners can not attend the function for whatever reason the prize-winner disqualifies himself/herself as a winner and classified as unclaimed prize.
  20. We reserve the right to award prizes unclaimed on the day of ceremony to alternative prizewinners or not to award them at all and we shall have no liability in respect of the entry initially selected. 
  21. Travel expenses or any other expenses are not included in the prize.
  22. All entrants retain copyright in their entry. The winner of the competition grants the foundation a non-exclusive licence to publish their entry.
  23. Only one entry per person allowed. Second or subsequent entries will be disqualified. Entries will not be accepted in bulk or on behalf of someone else. Joint submissions will not be accepted.
  24. The Foundation is not responsible for entries lost, misdirected, delayed or destroyed.
  25. The Foundation reserves the right to alter the prizes, these terms and conditions or cancel the competition.
  26. If the entries are not of sufficiently high quality the Foundation may extend the closing date (in which case it may also be necessary to alter the prize).
  27. Entries will not be returned.
  28. By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  29. By entering a competition each entrant agrees that they have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. 

  30. These terms and conditions and any disputes or claims (including noncontractual disputes or claims) arising out of these terms and conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden.
